I'm Joy, it's nice to meet you!

One thing to know about me is that I grew up witnessing my mom, Cheryl Blea, faithfully serve Valley Community Church for 26 years. I was raised with a deep love for building the church and sharing how to have a relationship with God to the people around me. When I started school at Biola University, I started attending Southlands Church in Brea, CA, where I was empowered by their heart for missions and sending believers out into the world to share the gospel.

Southlands Church firmly believes and actively executes church planting. About 9 years ago, they sent out a team of 20 people to plant One Light Church in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Through many transitions and immense growth, it is safe to say this community truly exemplifies Christ's beautiful bride.

It has been a privilege being called to serve this community where I have grown in courage, I have witnessed Christ's healing in my own life and many other's lives around me, and I have seen its congregation be the humble hands and feet of Christ.
